I know last week is over, but I still have another banana recipe for you. In case you forgot, last week was Banana Week on Green Teen. That's right! I featured two delicious recipes (try Fried Bananas and Blender Muffins!), but I have an awesome last recipe.
I'm obsessed with smoothies. I could eat them for breakfast, lunch, dinner - you name it. In fact, I probably have a smoothie at least 3 times a week (sometimes more). I wish I could have one everyday, though. But anyway, I'm talking about smoothies because that's what we're making today! A satisfying, sweet banana smoothie that will leave you feeling nourished, refreshed and full. Like all of my recipes, these ingredients are very common in most kitchens, so I'm guessing you have all the ingredients right now. Which, probably means you should make this right now...? :) Banana Breakfast Shake (serves 2): 2 bananas 1/2 plain Greek yogurt (I recommend plain but other flavors are still fine) :) 1 cup milk of your choice (really, any kind works great!) drizzle of honey, if it isn't sweet enough 3-6 ice cubes Put all ingredients into a blender except the ice. Blend well, then add in the ice. If it's too thick, you can add more milk. If you'd prefer it to be sweeter, add in some organic honey. Drink the goodness! Recipe and photo by: Ashley
