Chai tea is my favorite drink. Smoothies are amazing. So when you combine the two, the result is unbelievable!! This is a super good-for-you, must make drink! (Plus, this recipe is easy to modify, so if you don't have an ingredient, you can swap it out). Enjoy!
Chai Tea Smoothie (Serves 2-3)
1 cup soaked oats (one cup of oats in water, let sit for 10-20 minutes and then drain).
1/2 cup brewed black tea, cooled
1 cup almond milk, or any milk you prefer
2 dates or figs
1 tablespoon Maca powder (optional)
2 cups ice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground clove
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder or extract
1 pinch of black pepper
1 pinch of sea salt
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Pour into glasses with ice and top with cinnamon.
